Position: Program Officer (1) Deadline: June 8, 2020 Salary: Rs. 40,000 per month Job Description This position will be mostly engaged in updating Nepal monitor's data before 2016 to make it compatible with the new structure in which extensive variables are recorded for each incident, and congruent with the remapped federal boundaries of Nepal. It will be the most senior of three new positions created to address our backlog of pre-2016 data an d will involve responsibility for supervising two other staffs. Updating the data set will entail: § Writing short summary descriptions for each report in Nepali and English § Coding different variables for incidents by following the coding guideline § Mapping old VDCs location to their corresponding local units formed in Federal Nepal § Conducting follow-up with District Focal Persons on local newspaper reports to verify incidents with district focal persons and local journalists § Supervisin...
